Shubham Ranjane: "Mentally, we were prepared to play, eagerly waiting for the time, and we knew that it was going to be a short format game, so we were well prepared for that. It was slightly sticky wicket, it was slower, but all the intent matters in the end. [Donovan Ferreira] It's unbelievable. It's just speechless for that."
10:17 pm This is now the second-highest total in a five-over T20 game! The Texas Super Kings certainly didn't kick things off how they wanted, losing the wicket of captain Stoinis in the first over, and their experimental batting order in this shortened match just didn't click. But they finished off the innings in style and power! After a sluggish start, Ranjane finally broke loose with two sixes and a four in the second over. And in a strange twist of fate, Mitchell's retired out actually became a huge positive for the Super Kings. Donovan Ferreira came in with incredible power, blasting 37 runs off just 9 balls at a strike rate of 411! Ranjane was fantastic too, scoring 39 off 14 deliveries. We will be back for the run chase after a short break.
