Sanjay Krishnamurthi: "I think it's a good total. The wicket's not that easy. It's a bit on the slower side, but we have to bowl well and execute our plan. [Playing the ODI series here] I think it did help, knowing the slowness of the pitch and also the boundary dimensions. It's a lot more comfortable knowing that you can clear the ground when you've done it before. [Ball in hand] Length is vital, because if we drop it too short, or if we give them anything loose, I think we'll get punished. But other than that, we bowl in our areas, we have a good chance of defending this."
Muzahid: "Wonder if SF could've retired Seifert earlier and give a few more deliveries to Shepherd!"
8:46 pm The weather and the conditions played a role today, folks! The pitch was damp from the rain, and just as we thought, it had gotten slower and trickier to bat on. The Seattle Orcas got off to a dream start, bagging the big wicket of Matt Short in the very first over! Allen and JFM were trying to rebuild the innings, but this pitch has been a real challenge for the batters early on. The Unicorns' usual explosive top order quickly found themselves back in the pavilion, leaving a lot of pressure on their middle order. JFM did his best, scoring a quickfire 35 runs off 22 balls, hitting a few big shots along the way. But the real standout for the Unicorns today was Krishnamurthi, who stepped up brilliantly with 41 runs off just 28 deliveries. Seifert played a steady innings, making 31 runs off 37 balls. A big question now is whether the Unicorns missed a trick by not sending Shepherd in earlier. He played an amazing cameo of 13 runs from just 3 balls, including two massive sixes right at the end! Credit where credit's due, the Seattle Orcas were incredibly tight and disciplined with their bowling today, really making the most of the difficult pitch conditions. Ayan picked up two wickets, while Waqar, Raza, and Harmeet each bagged one.
