Most Valuable Player, Matthew Short: "[Most Valuable Player Award] They're always nice to get, but more happy with the win. Five and I can't be more happier. [Post Injury] Look, to be honest, it's not too difficult out there. We've got a lot of work behind the boys. We've got the staff who do all the work behind the scenes. And then a big shout out to Corey Anderson, who obviously led the boys in the first few games and put us in good stead. Coming into today, it's a bit of a strange one. We lost the toss. And if we had won, I would have wanted to bat second. It looked a bit dry. Looked a bit different from the wicket we played in the last game. To be honest, it played better than we thought, which was, again, massive credit to the ground staff out there. I know they're listening out there. So, shoutout to you mate. It also played a lot better than we thought. Obviously, a shorter side out here with the breeze coming here. So I think our batters played pretty smart. Use the breeze out this side to the shorter side. Play nice shots into the breeze. Just sort of a smart game all around. [Bowling unit] I mean, again, credit to our bowling unit. Happened last game as well. TSK got off to a flyer, similar to New York tonight. They just kept their heads. Obviously, Quinny [Quinton] and Patel got off to a flyer, so we knew if we took a couple of wickets, it would be hard to start out there. And yeah, credit to our guys at the end there with their death bowling, and just hung in there all day. Very happy. [Keep going] There is no reason why not. We sat down as a group before the tournament started, and we asked a question: Why can't we win every game and win the tournament? So, look, it's looking that way at the moment, but we're just taking every game they come, they're pretty short turnaround, so not even sure I think with Seattle [Orcas] in a couple of days, so we'll rest up, recover, and go again in a couple of days.

Nicholas Pooran: "Tough day for us. Kudos to them. Well batted. We didn't execute our plans as the bowling group. Polly [Pollard] came and then showed us exactly what we had to. [Chasing 246] Obviously, if we chased that, that would have been a really good chase, but instead, I felt like the openers really, they really gave us a chance in this game. That's a brilliant partnership with Queenie [Quinton] and Monank. They continue their form in this tournament, but it [the match] got away from us in the middle there, especially myself there, at 14-15, or 17, that's unacceptable. But kudos to them. I think they bowled pretty well, and in the last 10 hours, they used the conditions really nicely. [Changes] Tough question. But we've played some tough games as well. We could have easily been in a different position in this tournament. But it's challenging because the other teams have been playing really nicely as well. We just need to go back, reflect on our plan again, and come up with something and hopefully come out and execute our plans and get a better result."

10:45 pm The San Francisco Unicorns have done it! They've won five out of five matches, solidifying their position at the top of the table! MI New York got off to a fantastic start with the bat, putting on a huge 119-run opening stand, led by Monank Patel. Monank was brilliant, scoring 60 runs off just 33 balls before unfortunately chipping a catch to the on-side ring fielder. With both openers firing, they were cruising towards the target. However, after Monank's dismissal, the run rate started to dip in the middle overs. Pooran felt the pressure as the dot balls piled up, and he ultimately returned to the dressing room. This pressure also caused Quinton de Kock to lose his wicket shortly after. Shepherd then dealt a double blow, dismissing both de Kock and Bracewell in consecutive deliveries, drastically changing the momentum. Matt Short deserves a lot of praise for his excellent captaincy in the middle overs. He changed his bowlers efficiently and made those crucial breakthroughs. Bartlett and Shepherd were the pick of the bowlers, both taking two wickets. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation!
