8:50pm That was a much better batting effort from the Super Kings. du Plessis, unsurprisingly, was front and centre during the first half, smashing the ball to all parts. What would have pleased him most, though, was how the rest of his batting unit showed up. There were cameos throughout the innings, notably from Milind, Ranjane and Stoinis, and that has taken the Super Kings up to a hefty total.

There were times when Washington threatened to pull things back, but they could not put together enough tight overs to truly instigate a stalling of momentum. Owen picked up three, Maxwell bagged two, but the WF skipper's decision to bowl the 18th, which ultimately went for 16, gave away the slight momentum Washington had generated prior to it. They now have a steep target in front of them, but they do have the firepower to hunt it down. Join us in a bit for the chase!

Milind Kumar: (What worked for him with the bat) Just backing myself, holding my shape. We had a plan and we executed it. (On what is the key in defending this total) The only thing is when you have a plan, to execute it and stick to the plans.

Holland to Ranjane, 2 runs, on a length outside off. Ranjane gives it the lot and powers it down the ground towards long on. Savage hares back to the danger end and the Super Kings finish with 220!

Holland to Ranjane, SIX, that has gone further! Another slower ball on a shortish length on off stump. Ranjane picks it up early and belts it over deep mid wicket!

Holland to Ranjane, SIX, deep into the stands! This is a half-tracker outside leg, and it does not help Holland that Ranjane is now setting up for this sort of ball. He waits for it and helps it over the deep backward square leg fence!
