Andre Russell: "[Weather] We're coping well, I think, as professionals we have a few practice sessions where we get to have an idea what the weather will be like and the heat. So I prefer the heat more than the cold, to be honest. It's a good score. I just hope that our batters can give us the start that we want, and then we can capitalize on the back end. I was thinking of keeping it simple [Bowling]. There's a big side that is a wind factor as well. So I just try to keep the ball away from the batters, bowl as straight as possible to the right-handers and let them hit to the wind. And I think we're gonna deal with the same thing. These guys gonna be coming out using the big side and also the wind side as well. So once we get a good start in the first six [overs], I think we should be fine. [Last over] That was just outside the line. But when you have a big back and a big chest and stuff like that, umpires can't see, which worked out well for me. Raza is a very good hitter, so never know if that was a while, maybe it would be more pressure on me in the last two deliveries, which I keep my cool and get a single from the last one, so I'm happy."
3:55 pm The Seattle Orcas had to work hard for their runs on this pitch. It felt a bit slower than yesterday's surface, making batting quite a challenge. Shayan Jahangir looked like he was going to explode during the Powerplay, but Jason Holder cut his dangerous knock short, sending him back to the pavilion in the fourth over after he made a quickfire 26 off 15 balls. Unfortunately for the Orcas, Warner and Jones couldn't keep that early momentum going, often mistiming their shots. Jones ended up being the top scorer for the innings with 44 runs from 36 deliveries. It was some late cameos from Hetmyer and Raza that eventually pushed the Orcas to a competitive total. The Knight Riders' bowlers did well to mix up their deliveries, but they also gave away far too many extras. Despite that, Russell was a standout, grabbing 3 wickets at an economy rate of just 7.50. We'll be back for the run chase shortly after a quick break!
