2:03pm: The news from the ground is not good, I'm afraid. Rain has been pelting down in Morrisville and we have another match abandonment situation here. Both teams will receive one point
So, one downpour after another at Morrisville means we'll have back-to-back washouts. Yesterday, a much-awaited high-octane clash between MI New York and Texas Super Kings was rained out and today it's the same dreary story
Unfortunately, there's a persistent rain forecast for the upcoming week at Morrisville but let's hope we don't have more games getting marred by rain and the heavens close up
2pm: San Francisco Unicorns (SF) just didn't turn up against high-flying Texas Super Kings in their last game after capitulating on a meagre 127 which was chased down ruthlessly in 12.5 overs. That loss dented SF's NRR and they'll be wary of the pitfalls of that. A win will put them back on track and we can expect them to come harder against Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR)
On the other hand, LAKR are also coming on the back of a defeat at the hands of Seattle Orcas (SO). After posting 168/5, they couldn't make inroads with the ball as Ryan Rickleton's blistering century guided SO to the victory's terminal. LAKR's middle-order must have felt they missed out an opportunity to post 200 on a pitch that wasn't really capricious and the likes of David Miller, Andre Russell and Shakib Al Hasan will be looking to step on the right foot today. Jason Roy was phenomenal in the last game in his 69-run rampage; expect more of the same from him.
