So that's a wrap. Goodbye from Sid, Chandan and myself.
Pandya collects the trophy and hands it over to Prithvi Shaw. Smiles all around as the Indian team pose for the camera.
Hardik Pandya is the Player of the Series: To be honest, my Man of the Series goes to the whole support staff. I have always played the game like this, tried to read the situation and what's required at that moment, and not have pre-conceived ideas. A lot of time I back my guts. I have got a very simple rule about my life and captaincy: if I go down, I will go down on my decisions. So at the end of the day, I take calls on my own because I like to take the ownership. When I played the IPL final, I felt the second innings was more spicier. We want to normalise these pressure games, and hopefully we can do better at bigger stages.
Shubman Gill is the Player of the Match: It feels good when you practise and it pays off. Happy to get the big ones for the team. Everybody has a different technique to hit sixes. Hardik bhai told me to bat the way I do, and that there is no need to do anything extra. When you are representing your country, I don't think there's any kind of fatigue, and I am happy to play all three formats.
Mitchell Santner: It would have been nice to take the trophy but India played better. Gill has been in a pretty good nick. It's tough to win if you lose five in the powerplay. I guess during that time of the year [when the World Cup is planned] there could be a dew around, so the teams will be looking to bowl first. So it might be about restricting teams to 320.
Time for the presentation ceremony.
Juzer: "168 runs victory is huge, even for a test match!"
Sai: "Shubman Gill defeated New Zealand by 60 runs."
Rahul Tripathi: I would have been happier had I got some more runs. Rahul sir and everyone has been telling me to play in the same way I have been, and look to take advantage in the first six overs. It's a terrific atmosphere in the stadium, playing in front of such a crowd. And even more happy that we have won the series.
10.09pm So India win by 168 runs. Chandan tells me that it's the highest margin of victory between two Full Member teams. It was as complete a performance from India as it could get. After they opted to bat, Gill led the show with an unbeaten 126 off 63 balls - the highest individual score for India in T20Is. As a result, India posted a daunting 234 for 4. Then Hardik Pandya struck with the new ball and finished with the figures of 4 for 16 from his four overs. Arshdeep Singh, Shivam Mavi and Umran Malik too picked up two each. The catching was top notch as well.
