4:18pm South Africa will fancy their chances. They have done extremely well to control and stymie India despite not picking up wickets in heaps. India lost only four overs but scored at less than run-a-ball. Deol, while top-scoring with 46, could never get going. The start itself was off, with Mandhana seeing out a maiden before being bowled for an eight-ball duck. Harmanpreet and Deepti did look decent but lacked support. Perhaps India would have been having second thoughts over holding Vastrakar back.

Only 110 to get for South Africa, who do not have the experienced Marizanne Kapp. India, on the other hand, have as many as three full-time spinners plus a couple of part-time options to look at as they defend the low score. Will they head over to the T20 World Cup with a loss or a win? Srinidhi will have the answers soon.

Reading a lot of comments on Deol vs Rodrigues at No. 3. Deol can accelerate quicker on flatter surfaces as she showed during her innings vs Australia in Mumbai. She also scored at a strike rate in excess of 100 in each of the domestic T20 series - the Zonals as well as Challengers. And that perhaps coincided with the brief lull of Rodrigues.
