Sathyen: "Interestingly West Indies have got to 220 with no one scoring a fifty. when was the last time a team got 200 in a T20 match with no fifties from anyone?" -- West Indies' 220/8 is the 2nd highest total without an individual fifty in T20Is, behind 221/5 by Australia vs England in 2007
7:45pm Wow, what a thrilling end to that innings. That was how it started too, with King and Mayers looking to dominate early. The visitors lost two wickets in the powerplay but that did not deter them. They kept attacking and while that led to a mini-collapse in the middle overs, that extra momentum has ensured that they have a very defendable total on the board.
South Africa would be ruing how they let things get away at the end. They allowed the West Indies to stitch together the highest ninth-wicket partnership in T20Is at this venue, and allowed them to score 52 runs off the last three overs, with 43 of those coming in the last two. South Africa have plenty of batting firepower, though, and they will back themselves to get the job done. But considering the way this innings ended, you feel the visitors might just be the happier bunch, as things stand. Do join us in a bit for the run-chase!
Kagiso Rabada: (On this being a tough ground to defend) That is why we chose to bowl first, and there is a bit of dew now. They lost a few wickets but they kept the rate up. (On par score) 170 is normally about par. They have a good score today and they got away towards the end.
