That's all from the first semi-final. But don't go too far. We hope to see you here shortly for the second semi-final between England and Australia. Ciao there!
12:35pm Parshavi Chopra is the player of the match: "I am very happy. Semi-final is a big game and it felt good. Today the ball was slipping out of my hands. My role is to bowl wicket to wicket and aim for dots."
Izzy Sharp:"Probably not enough runs but credit to India for coming hard at us. Definitely some pressure would have been good earlier on. Was not our day today. [Experience of captaincy] Awesome, huge honour. Made easy by the girls. Just wanna say huge thank you for our supporters at home and here."
Shafali Verma:"It is good to see the team do as per plans. We are excited to play the finals. We worked on our mistakes against Australia game and it is good to see this. We will prepare first and then celebrate [her birthday] tomorrow."
12:30pm A comprehensive eight-wicket win for India to be the first team in the final of the inaugural Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. Sehrawat yet again asserted her class with a third half-century in the competition, steering India in the chase after they loss Shafali early. But it was all set up by the bowlers - led by Chopra's three-for - that restricted New Zealand to a mere 107. It was always going to be an uphill task thereon to defend it.
It is a young Indian team, remember. They soak in the moment and pose for photographs. Wave to their supporters in the crowd. Lots of smiles and why not. They will await the winner of the next semi-final - England versus Australia - in the title-clash day after tomorrow.
Sarthak: "Finally a place where India beat nzl in worldcup."
Pravin Habbu: "Shweta's innings has made this chase look so easy! "
Two to win, Sehrawat on strike. Browning has the ball.
