4.47pm Innings break Australia fold to be all out for 263 after they were 240 for 4 just before tea. They have lost 6 for 23 in 8.2 overs. That is a collapse akin to a couple of the ones that lost them the recent Test series in India. Except this time it wasn't extreme spin, it was extreme pace. Mark Wood's selection has been an inspired one. As has Chris Woakes'. They carried England today after Ollie Robinson went down injured and Stuart Broad got collared by Mitch Marsh. Australia owe a huge debt to Marsh. His stunning 118 stands head and shoulders above his teammates. It was a staggering innings. But he also had some luck. Australia's bowlers will like their chances of matching England's. Big challenge for England's batters to gain an advantage.

learning_to_fly: "Went for jog at 85/4. Came back at 240/5. Went to a job interview and they are bundled for 263. Damn it..missed most of the funs today!"

John M: "No doubt England would have taken 263 all out at the start of the day, but even with that dramatic collapse it feels like an opportunity missed!"

Nick: "Not necessarily a bad thing for the Aussies to get bowled out at this time. A good deal of overs at the England top order under some cloud will be better than starting the innings tomorrow under baking sun. Mark Wood better not relax after his 5, you never know, he may be batting in an hour……."

Wood to Murphy, OUT, dragged on! Wood has five! That is high class fast bowling. He has made a huge difference. Full and wide, there to drive, but Murphy's feet are anchored due to the pace, he gets a thick inside edge onto middle and leg

Ghaffar: "Alex what about pitch report? It is under 300 out wicket on day one? " Hard to know. The bowlers have enjoyed it. Batting hasn't been easy for anyone bar Marsh but he did get dropped on 12 and survived a close lbw
