11.2 edged and taken smartly by Shukla! Axar throws his head back in disappointment! This is short and wide, and ought to be hit. Axar, though, perhaps tries to hit it too hard and loses his shape. Might have kept a little low too and all he manages is an under edge that is gobbled up sharply by the keeper. Axar departs for a 13-ball 26, and that is a handy cameo! 118/4

Rana jams it back towards the bowler, who in trying to field it, misfields and inadvertently deflects it onto the stumps. 8.3 chopped on, and Kuldeep breaks through! Back of a length on middle and off and this seems like the slider. Skids off the surface and Jatinder, shaping to pull, is hurried into the stroke. Cannot free his arms either and the ball cannons off the under edge into off stump. Kuldeep has a wicket, and Oman's opening resistance has been broken! 56/1

17.4 caught expertly on the fence, and Kaleem's vigil comes to an end! Slower ball on a length on the pads. This deserves to be smashed into the stands but the lack of pace means Kaleem does not get the connection he wants. That brings Hardik into play at fine leg and he tracks the ball all the way before flinging both of his hands to his right. Makes the ball stick and then runs along the rope without ever stepping onto the cushion. Excellent awareness, balance and catching technique, and India have a vital breakthrough! 149/2
