8:11pm An innings of two halves really, and this innings could be categorized as post-Abhishek and with-Abhishek. When Abhishek was at the crease, India were going all guns blazing. Abhishek was seeing it like a football and was smashing the ball to all parts en route a 37-ball 75. Gill did his bit too at the top of the order. But once Abhishek departed courtesy of a mix-up with his skipper, things began going downhill for India. Apart from Hardik, no batter got into any sustained hitting rhythm, and India's inclination to have a left-right combination, which came at Samson's expense, also left plenty to be desired.

If Bangladesh had been offered 168 prior to play, they would have bitten hands off. And they would be even more upbeat, given how Abhishek had begun. Tanzim, barring an expensive last over, was superb, with the rest of the bowlers also chipping in. Saif, brought on to tackle two left-handers, also conceded only seven in his two overs, and a combination of those factors means Bangladesh now have to chase as many as they did to win against Sri Lanka a few days ago. Can they do it again? We will be back shortly to find out!

Mohammad Saifuddin to Pandya, OUT, caught on the fence, and Bangladesh have, rather remarkably, kept India down to under 170! Misses the wide yorker on the shorter side but still gets it full enough to deny Hardik leverage. He gives it all he has, almost swishing himself off his feet, but scuffs it straight to long off. Saifuddin, who had endured a tough day until a few minutes ago, pops up with a four-run 20th over, and Bangladesh will be chuffed with this effort!

1
Mohammad Saifuddin to Patel, 1 run, borderline waist-high full toss on leg stump. Axar taken by surprise but he can only tug it straight to deep mid wicket. Just a single off the penultimate ball

19.1
2
Mohammad Saifuddin to Pandya, 2 runs, full and wide, just a tad short of being a yorker. Hardik throws the kitchen sink at it and flays it towards deep backward point

Saifuddin to bowl the last over. He has been taken for plenty so far tonight. Wide yorkers seem to be the plan

1
Tanzim Hasan Sakib to Pandya, 1 run, slower ball on a full length on the pads. Hardik tucks it towards deep mid wicket

Tanzim's plan to hide it outside off has not quite worked this over

17.5
4
Tanzim Hasan Sakib to Pandya, FOUR, four more! Juicy full toss gift-wrapped with width and Hardik cashes in. Not off the middle but he gets a thick enough outside edge to bisect the keeper and short third!
17.4
2
Tanzim Hasan Sakib to Pandya, 2 runs, responds to the very high full toss by bowling a pin-point wide yorker. Hardik cannot get under it and squeezes it out towards deep backward point

1nb
Tanzim Hasan Sakib to Pandya, 1 no ball, oh dear - Tanzim losing the plot here! Seems like another attempted slower ball but Tanzim gets it woefully wrong. It balloons over Hardik's front shoulder, and India have a Free hit to tuck into now
17.3
4
Tanzim Hasan Sakib to Pandya, FOUR, brilliant shot! Tanzim misses the wide yorker and he errs on the shorter side. Hardik sits deep in his crease, winds up and bludgeons it past extra cover!
17.2
1
Tanzim Hasan Sakib to Patel, 1 run, off-pace on a back of a length outside off. Axar guides it towards backward point, who hurls a throw at the batter's end. Tanzim does well to back it up

There was a hint of inward tail in that previous ball. Not sure if it is reverse but there was definitely movement in the air

1
Tanzim Hasan Sakib to Pandya, 1 run, into the blockhole outside off and this seems to tail in late. Hardik throws his hands at it and drills it towards deep backward point

Manikanta: "Is the pitch hard to score or Indian batsmen messing up the good start ?" -- Batting seems to have gotten tougher as the ball has gotten older, and it seems like a pitch where the new batters are having trouble starting off
