Pakistan finish with 146-9. They never looked like getting past 140, with wickets falling at frequent intervals, struggling against spin in the middle overs and pace in the powerplay. Junaid and Simranjeet were outstanding for UAE, right on top of their game and stepping up on the big occasion. Pakistan would have liked 20-30 more runs but once again they were lacklustre with the bat--no real fiery knock. Lack of intensity and skill on show against quality spin. I'll be back to take you through the chase

Muhammad Rohid to Shaheen Shah Afridi, 2 runs, OUT, Deserves a promotion up the order, eh? Length ball slanted in at off, targets leg-side and ends up getting a thick deflection to deep extra cover, returns for the second, can't make the third. Pakistan huff and puff their way to 146-9, thanks to Shaheen Afridi's heroics with the bat

Muhammad Rohid to Shaheen Shah Afridi, no run, two dots in a row! good comeback. Spears a yorker on middle, he digs it out to the right of mid-on, denies the single. He wants to face the last ball and rightly so
