11.22pm Another one done, four more to come. Sunday is our next outing in Karachi, although we'll be back for the women's ODI between England and India at Lord's tomorrow morning. See you then!
Harry Brook: "It was very nice to get out there and have a match winning performance tonight. It was quite similar to the other night. Every pitch has been fairly similar. Just hitting through the line of the ball and trying to play on the front foot as much as possible, really. I was just trying to get [Duckett] on strike - he's so good against spin, it's ridiculous."
Babar Azam, speaking in Urdu, admits the bowling wasn't up to the mark, and that they need to 'apna plan execute'. Happy to see Shan back in form though.
Moeen Ali "Brooky, hopefully he grows and becomes one of those top, top players. All got a bit of experience from the PSL, Jacks took it to the bowlers, the future for England cricket is amazing. Wood bowled serious, serious pace, great to have him back, he's a massive part of our team."
Mark Wood: "First game for England since March, one club game for Ashington. Pakistan crowd very supportive, Babar and Rizwan played really well last time so a big wicket, Toppers bowled a great over so that allowed me to attack. I've done loads of time in the gym and lots of running, but nothing the same as a game. You tend to be a bit fresh after seven months out, but can I keep those speeds up. What's important for me is not to go too hard now and not be ready for Australia. Today was a good day, the crowd was flying, but can I repeat that.
10.56pm Well, which was the bigger thumping, Pakistan's ten-wicket win last night or England's 63-run reply tonight? The former is the more statistically historical, but really, this was a no-contest in the second innings, after the loss of Babar and Rizwan in the Powerplay. Mark Wood bowled absolute rockets at times, and Reece Topley was quietly impressive in his own comeback. But the damage was done in England's innings, most notably by Harry Brook, who launched it for his unbeaten 81 from 35.
Haris: "I think more than yesterday, today's game goes on to show how important Rizwan and Babar are. "
Furqan: "No Buttler, Bairstow and Livingstone, still two 200 scores by England. They will be a real team to watch in the WC."
James : "Wasim and Waqar on commentary enjoyed the 150k yorker from Wood at 18.6. And when your yorker impresses those 2 ..." Yes indeed...
Adam: "Every 6 is 1000 usd to flood relief, Shan masood s doing god s work!!" This is very true.
