This is exactly what Sharjah Warriors needed to give themselves a chance to sneak into the top four. It's a perfectly executed chase with no blemishes whatsoever. Charles and TKC were a delight to watch tonight, playing an array of delightful strokes and giving no chances to the bowlers. The bold statement of intent right from the word go paid rich dividends and with a modest total to defend, Dubai Capitals' only hope to stay alive was to pick wickets--something they couldn't do. We saw a massive gulf between the two sides today. Warriors had no issues after the powerplay while Capitals began to crumble after the first six overs
Sikandar Raza, Dubai Capitals Captain: I thought we were traditional in our batting, needed more sweeps, reverse sweeps and switch hits. We went into a shell rather than being aggressive. John is a fantastic player and done that to many teams; it was quite hard to bowl at him. John played a lot of great shots. One bad game is not going to derail us. Try to get this game out of system; winning next two is the target
Tim Southee, Sharjah Warriors Captain: Spinners were outstanding, Rohan as well. Obviously, our best performance of the tournament. Never ideal when guys drop catches, wasn't costly tonight but need to work on.
Adam Zampa, Player of the Match: They got off to a bit of flier. I actually love playing in Dubai because it gets a bid skiddier as well. Thought ash (Ashton Agar) and Rohan bowled (well), complemented. We put them under the pump. Ash and I have played a lot together, love playing together. It felt almost nostalgic. We haven't played a lot together recently. Jonnson and TKC did really well...joked at halfway stage about NRR and they sorted that
