Desert Vipers, table-toppers. They played up to that billing. Decimated Warriorz, whose NRR at -1.32, is the lowest by a distance. They'll face each other on the 25th. DC vs GG tomorrow, see you for that. Thanks for tuning in tonight. Take care
Mohammad Amir, POTM: As a new-ball bowler, you try to swing the ball. You have to stick to it as long as you can. You have to bowl according to the wicket, had to hit good areas that's all here. You have to adapt to conditions asap and I did that. Celebration comes with Pushpa 2, hero does that so I was doing. If you talk as a bowling unit, we have a fantastic unit - Ferguson, Payne, Hasaranga, et al - which is amazing.
Lockie Ferguson, Vipers captain: Not ideal when you're just fielding. But it's okay, just a sprain of the ankle. Not sure if I'll play the next game, will wake up tomorrow and take it from there. Last game, we were off in all three departments. Mo Amir hit his mark right up top. T20 some days you have a day off, and we did that tonight after last game. Hasaranga was licking his lips on that track, whole bowling attack has done well.
Tim Southee, Warriorz captain: It's always tough when you're 6 foe 30 off, but the beauty is we have a chance to bounce back against the same opposition. We'll get a day out and then train. Level changing room. You try and scrap away to a score after a bad start, and dangerous batters took them home.
9:07pm: Halfway through and it's all over. Oh, the camera cuts to Lockie Ferguson, who hobbled down the steps. He looks in good spirits though. He twisted his ankle while fielding. But the bowlers were clinical and so were the openers, who closed out a modest chase by themselves. Powerplay wickets were the only chance for Warriorz to come back, but Vipers knew that. They took chances, which came off.
