MIE get going this season to register their first points. DC, meanwhile, lose one after starting their campaign with a win against MIE. So the ILT20's off to a competitive start, but keep following the T20 action with the SA20, where MICT's Rabada and Linde break Paarl Royals' back in a chase of 173. Until next time, see you and take care!
Tom Banton is the Player of the Match: "It was obviously tricky... pre-game and before the first game we had a chat someone's got to bat through. I just took my time. When the ball was in my area, I looked to put pressure on the bowlers. It's my first year here - I was with MI Cape Town last year. Every game someone's got to put his hand up."
Nicholas Pooran, MIE captain: "It feels good. Nothing comes easy... it was really nice to put some runs on the board. That over Farooqi bowled turned the game for us. [On Tom Banton] Over the last couple of months, he has been batting fantastic. We know how talented [he is], and the amount of potential he has."
Sikandar Raza, DC captain: "I thought we pulled the game back nicely with the ball... 200 was looking on the cards. I thought that was fantastic. Momentum is a big thing in T20s. It hurts [with Hope having a scored and DC having lost]. Of course losing hurts all the time. It should have been Shai getting Man of the Match."

SMS: "What is the minimum runs a team scored in 20 overs with one batter scoring 100?" --- Sampath, our statsman, says Thisara Perera scored 103* out of Dhaka Capital's total of 153 only ten days back in the BPL
10.17pm With 66 runs left to get from 30 balls but with eight wickets in hand for DC, this game could have probably gone anywhere. Hope hit four and six, and you thought it was DC's; but three wickets fell off the next six legal balls, and you all but knew it would be MIE's. Hope ended with 101 out of his side's total of 161, but DC fell 26 short of MIE. Farooqi and Salamkheil led MIE's efforts with the ball, after Banton got 74, and Pooran pinged 59 with the bat. Join us for the presentation soon.
