Scorer: @Thilak_Rama | Commentator: Alan Gardner
9.58pm: Time for the presentations in Dubai, starting with MIE's Kieron Pollard: "We didn't get off to the greatest start. They bowled well and kept us in check. We finished with a decent total but were 15-20 runs short. We could have been tighter with the ball, get early wickets and get into them. They started well and we were always playing catch-up. Things went their way, so congratulations to them, but we lost that game. [ILT20 impressions] The best in the world come together and you get opportunities to showcase your talent. Long may that continue."
Gulf Giants captain James Vince is also Player of the Match: "Got off to a quick start which took the pressure off. We lost a few wickets through the middle but the guys who came in didn't chew up too many balls and found the boundaries. [Bowlers] Been fantastic all tournament, as Polly said they were 15 short. If we'd fielded better we could have kept them to 10 fewer. But we adapted well today. Good response [to losing first qualifier], we get a chance to put it right against the Vipers on Sunday."
And that concludes proceedings for tonight. We'll be back for the final between Desert Vipers and Gulf Giants on Sunday - thanks for your comments, from myself, Ekanth and Thilak, it's cheerio for now. Bye!
9.52pm: James Vince leads the Giants into the ILT20 final with a towering display. The captain finishes unbeaten on 83, streets ahead of the next-best contribution from his team. MIE looked to be below par after struggling through the early part of the innings and so it proved. They bow out despite the best efforts of Kieron Pollard and their elite ringer Rashid Khan
Farooqi is back

"Strange that Vince drops off so much at international level. With his talent, experience and calmness he should've been a mainstay in all formats you'd feel. He scores runs in almost every domestic game I watch him." He's back in England's squad for Bangladesh, Chris. Could end the year with another World Cup-winner's medal...
