That's it from us today, as Vipers booked their berth for the final four. Thanks for your company tonight, as we leave you with the ILT20 wrap to get up to speed. Good night and goodbye from Binoy, Abhimanyu and me, Himanshu!
As is obvious, Wanindu Hasaranga is the Player of the Match: "Really happy because of the win. You saw how the pitch was doing today"
The winning captain Colin Munro: "Tricky wicket... we did pretty well to scrap to that total. We bowled hard lengths, and asked them to play cross-batted shots. Bowlers were outstanding. Hasaranga was exceptional. We've got a wonderful bench... credit to support staff."
Joe Denly, Warriors captain: "A tricky one... we finish our group stage here. A little bit of time to reflect. They got themselves to a competitive score. Our batting never got going. We're still in a position to qualify."
9.54pm Vipers get two points, and more or less assure themselves of a top-two finish; in fact, they qualify for the playoffs. Six wins out of eight, and today's was an impressive win: they were 80 for 5 in the 14th over, and ended with 148 courtesy Howell and Billings, and when Warriors were 50 for 2, Hasaranga showed the way to make it 65 for 6. Hasaranga got 3 for 13, and Wood had 3 for 20, and the pitch always supported their change of pace. Hang around for the presentations.
Ah, replays show there was no bat on the first legal ball of the over
