And with that it's wrap from me. This result sees Dubai Capitals leapfrog MI Emirates into second place on net run rate. But don't go too far, we've got MI Emirates taking on table-toppers Desert Vipers starting shortly. So be sure to tune in for that, but until then on behalf of the team, this is Madushka saying goodbye.
Player of the Match goes to Mustafizur Rahman for his 3 for 34
Mohammed Nabi: "It's a total team work. They started well with their batting but the turning point was that Fizz over where we got three wickets. Later on in the batting the wicket was a little softer, there was turn and the ball wasn't coming on to the bat. [Bowling unit?] Many options in the bowling group, depends on the situation and they see which bowler can best impact that situation. Haider bowled really well in powerplay and Fizz really changed the momentum. [Rovman] He played really well. Calculated the game and then targeted every single ball."
James Vince: "[not enough runs?] yeah probably a similar pattern to our last couple of games. Got into a position to get 20 or 30 more than what we have done and when we lose a wicket we're losing two or three in a cluster. Restricts the batters out there, who have to lower the risk so we don't get bowled out or lose any more wickets. [what to do going forward?] There's been a few forced changes, and maybe a couple more changes coming. But it happens in T20 cricket, you don't always go out and perform every single game but there's too many of us not doing it at the minute. We just need to minimise those bad patches in the game."
Time for the post-match presentation...
Mustafa Moudi: "That Super Over Loss Completely took away the momentum from GG, who were in the Top 2 without a loss until that game. Moeen Ali's Decision not to bring Gurbaz in the Super Over not just costed them that match but also resulted in such a drastic downfall for the Giants !!"
5.39pm A tricky chase then seen through by the experienced pair of Rovman Powell (47 off 31) and Mohammed Nabi (25 off 14). There was a bit of a wobble in the powerplay when Atal and Cox fell in quick succession, but with the target always within reach Capitals strung together key partnerships - 31, 42 and then 54* - to see the game home with four deliveries to spare. On a slightly tacky surface the win had been setup by Capitals' spinners and the excellent Mustafizur who ended with match best figures of 3 for 34.
