Sent into bat, MI Emirates were going nowhere in the powerplay and were kept on a leash by the pacers. However, some recovery from Banton and later Pollard has given them something to fight with. Banton's run-out was a major turning point, as he, alongside Pollard, looked set to go berserk in the last few overs so they definitely missed out on an opportunity to make up for the slow start. Worrall was exceptional with his lines and lengths and Curran didn't give much away either. Adair held up his end of the bargain and took some brilliant catches. Gulf Giants will be the happier side at the halfway stage and will back themselves to chase this modest total but there's something for the pacers on this pitch and MI Emirates will be keen to create some panic upfront

Now then Pollard must step up and do the bulk of heavy-lifting but Curran has done well in this over and kept a lid on the score
