8:20pm Wow, what a flurry towards the end. 75 came off the last five and that seems to have propelled MI Emirates to an above-par total. Shepherd did much of the damage in the final two overs, and that continued on from Pooran's free-spirited hitting, which injected impetus into an innings that was threatening to flat-line. Waseem and Perera also played cameos earlier, although both were dismissed when they could and probably should have gone on.
A death-overs display to forget for the Knight Riders. They shot themselves in the foot with their extraordinarily poor over-rate and were made to pay. Their lines, lengths, planning or execution was not great either and they now have to chase down a hefty score, with the team batting first and scoring 171 or more losing just once previously at this venue.
Ali Khan: Surface looks pretty good to bat on. When you are bowling to quality players, it is hard to keep going with perfect execution. That is the nature of the game, sometimes you get it right, sometimes you don't. (On the Pollard wicket) Very excited to get his wicket, he is my captain at Trinbago Knight Riders as well. For me, my role is pretty clear. When I come into the back end, to go to death-bowling and yorkers - that has been my strength. Most of the times, it comes out (well) because it is my strength and that is the best ball in cricket. Very proud to wear this jersey. Back in 2018, when I was playing in the US, DJ Bravo gave me my first opportunity. Really thankful for the management and the ownership (to give me this opportunity to represent this franchise).
71 runs have come off the last 30 balls
Ali Khan to bowl the last over. ADKR need to have five in the ring again. Over the wicket to Hosein
