That is MI Emirates for you. They have taken their game several notches up in the all-important final and put up an imposing score on the board. Holder, Kuggeleijn, and Stone were hit for plenty. Haider and Zahir were the pick of the bowlers and kept the batters quiet but Emirates swung the momentum in their favor in the most important passages of play: powerplay and the last five overs. Muhammad Waseem got off to a flyer with a quickfire 43 and Kusal Perera slammed six fours in his 38-run blitzkrieg. Thereon, Andre Fletcher, who got a few chances today, started to find his groove and made sure to make full use of the reprieves, scoring a terrific half-century. After that, it was the Nicholas Pooran show; he played a ravishing innings and was severe on the bowler--anything in his hitting arc was destined to go past the boundary rope. Sensational hitting in the last few overs! This is going to be a challenging total for Dubai Capitals who'll need to fire on all cylinders right from the powerplay. They have the quality to chase it down. I'll be back in a few minutes

Kuggeleijn to Pooran, SIX, Spanked with insolence over long-on and finishes the innings in belligerent style! Hits sixes with incredible ease. He goes full with a cross-seam delivery just outside off, not quite full enough, and Pooran latches onto in a jiffy. Pooran steals the show with his pyrotechnics. This is the highest total of the season!

6
Kuggeleijn to Pooran, SIX, Poooooooooraaan! Incredible shot! Thumps his half-century in style with a cracking inside-out shot over extra cover and that also brings up 200 on the board. Length ball tailing away from off, deposited outside rope.

Kuggeleijn to Pooran, FOUR, Cracked down the ground! Everything so right about that stroke, half-volley in his hit-me zone, he gets down low and lashes it down the ground, beats long-on and it's four written all over it

Kuggeleijn to Pooran, 2 runs, Slung full and whizzing away outside off, clonked across the line in the real estate at deep midwicket, two fielders converging, du Plooy with a fantastic diving stop

Stone to Pooran, SIX, Oh my goodness! Misses the yorker and pays the price! Full-toss on off, he flogs him for a six over long-off, Sikandar Raza wasn't perched at the edge of the boundary and the ball hits his right hand and lands over the rope, would have been an absolute worldie had he caught that out of thin air, not very alert on the rope, slightly misjudged it but a timely six for MI Emirates to ruin Stone's over
18.5
1
Stone to Pollard, 1 run, Over the wicket, another yorker with unerring accuracy on fourth stump line, winding up for the big shot but can only clatter it away to long-off
18.4
1
Stone to Pooran, 1 run, Coming round the wicket to Pooran. Hammered a pinpoint accurate yorker and he can't get underneath it, outside edge dies down quickly towards keeper's left
18.3

Stone to Pollard, 1 run, Superb pace-off yorker on middle, clipped away off his toes to midwicket, doing well here Stone
18.2
0
Stone to Pollard, no run, Over the wicket, cleverly bowled and Olly Stone liked that, got a big smile on his pace. Good length with pace off and not close to his swinging blade, teased him with the lack of pace, beaten
18.1
1
Stone to Pooran, 1 run, Emirates already got a par score on this pitch. Attempted yorker not far away from the blockhole, jabs it away to deep extra cover
18.1
1w
Stone to Pooran, 1 wide, Slung down full and it's tailing away from leg stump so that's a wasted effort

2
Holder to Pollard, 2 runs, Attempted bumper but strays in his line, he swivels and mousses it behind square but wide fine leg does well to get his hand to it and took the pace off, Olly Stone in the deep gathers the ball quickly and returns a rocket throw to Billings
17.5
4
Holder to Pollard, FOUR, Geez! Power from other end and finesse from Pollard! Little bit short and some room on offer, calmly deft touches it through third man for a four. Found the gap with precision
17.4
1
Holder to Pooran, 1 run, Round the wicket, better from Holder, a wide yorker on fourth stump line, squirted away to third man region
17.3
6
Holder to Pooran, SIX, And another one! Takes that. Stays deep in the crease and butchers it over extra cover for a six, slow short ball outside off, he is too quick with his hands and latches onto the loosener in a flash, the crowd loved it! Delightful stuff
17.2
6
Holder to Pooran, SIX, Was he trying for a yorker, that went horribly wrong, a high-full toss outside and Pooran says thank you buddy, clobbered it disdainfully over long-on for six, that's audacity. Loved it. That's Pooran in finals. A different beast

Holder to Pooran, no run, Over the wicket, shortens his length and bowls a leg-cutter curving outside off, beating his late cut, good start

Stone to Pollard, no run, Bit short, scudding through the deck very very quickly on an unerring off stump line, resolutely blocked through the line

W
Stone to Fletcher, OUT, Leus du Plooy has taken a gem! Thumped hard into the surface, a well-directed lifter in the channel, tries to whack that away across the line but hasn't got all of it, a top-edge went high into the night-sky, Plooy charged in from the deep and took a screamer diving forward, what a snare!

Stone to Pooran, 1 run, Pace off back of a length delivery just outside off, horizontal bat shot through the covers, hasn't really timed that well and is happy to jog down for a run
16.3

Stone to Pooran, FOUR, Using his bat like a swinging door and fortune working in his favour! Fraction short and plugging away in the channel, catches the outside edge and just hisses past the fielder at the edge of the circle at third man
