8:15pm An innings of two halves. The powerplay was chaotic, with Charles and Dickwella falling early in the piece. Guptill and Kohler-Cadmore, though, took matters into their own hands, capitalising on the loose balls. Kohler-Cadmore, in particular, was severe on Hasaranga post the powerplay and the Warriors were 114-2 at the half-way stage.
Wood, who had earlier accounted for Charles and Dickwella, took down Kohler-Cadmore in the 11th over and the Warriors' innings spiralled thereafter. Hasaranga then had a three-wicket over to break the back of the innings, and the Vipers will be pleased with how many they have to chase, given how brutally Guptill and Kohler-Cadmore were striking the ball at one point. Join us in a bit for the run-chase!
Wanindu Hasaranga: I was really happy the way I bowled the last two overs, after conceding 25 in the first two overs. I trust my bowling skill-set and try to bowl at the stumps. That is how I got the three wickets. When I bowl at the stumps, I feel I have a 50-50 chance to get them out lbw or bowled. These are small grounds and batters try to go after you, so I try to bowl at the stumps. That (googly) is my wicket-taking ball, and that is a big weapon of mine. The pitch was really good. If we play good cricket shots, we can chase this down easily.
