A potentially entertaining chase and a more certain source of it coming up. Say hi to Alan Gardner.
Afeef: "Pollard usually loves hitting big sixes over long-off and extra-cover, but today he was hellbent on dragging balls to the leg side. Long boundary playing on his mind or something?" Could be, although sometimes it was hard to tell with those 90+ metre monsters.
7:49pm: Pollard and Jordan have a lighthearted word and shake hands as they walk back. Hundred runs in the back ten. Three drop catches off Pooran allowed the left-hander to go over a run a ball. Pollard joined in with an unbeaten 57 to get Emirates up to far. Jordan was brilliant at the death. Vince mixed his bowlers around early on. Qais and de Grandhomme started well but were punished during the Pooran-Pollard onslaught. Wiese was successful and economical.
