7.40pm A strong total after Gulf Giants were asked to bat first for the first time this tournament. James Vince registered his third straight half-century and set a solid platform for Hetmyer and Dawson to use later on, as the duo stitched a stand of 54 off just 30 balls. There was a lean period too in between when Akif Raja returned and Powell filled in for the last overs of Mujeeb and Allen, the two most expensive bowlers, before Dubai Capitals took off again. Hetmyer: Feel pretty good about it actually, was looking to get more runs but it's all for the team eventually. The plan is just to be as clear as possible, keep a clear mindset, it's different challenges on different days and the slower balls were gripping today. On some other days there are better pitches for batting. It helps to have someone set and Vince has been doing a fantastic job, then it's much easier to bat. It's not easy to bowl here so early wickets will be nice.

Udana to Jordan, SIX, super six over the leg side! It's a typical back of the hand slower ball from Udana on back of length, Jordan opens up, stays still and then swings across the line with good timing to absolutely middle that and send it crashing over midwicket. He's hit it so well, Andy Flower is applauding in the dugout and then taking down notes, Jordan and Hetmyer are having a laugh in the middle
