10pm That's all the action from Dubai today. Don't forget to tune in tomorrow when Sharjah Warriors look for revenge against MI Emirates. This is Abhimanyu, signing off on behalf of Srinidhi and Binoy George!

9.45pm Time for the presentation ceremony.

Rovman Powell: "[On Uthappa's innings] Very good. It's always good to have someone from top of the order to get 75-plus and you normally come out on top. At the halfway mark, I think we were 15-20 short but credit to them, Gleeson and Jordan bowled well and the young legspinner also bowled well. It was a good wicket to be honest. I think we lost it when we were 15-20 runs short on a good wicket. I think the pitch was good, the outfield is very fast. It gives batters and bowlers a fair chance to show up on the day."

James Vince, who is also player of the match: "The game played out much differently from yesterday where they got on top of the ball. At one stage it looked they would get 200 plus but we bowled really well in the last 10 overs. 180 on that pitch with those dimensions was about par so credit to the bowlers for pulling it back. [On the chase] Probably not the best thing to start off with a maiden. But Rehan [Ahmed] played a lovely cameo and Gerhard [Erasmus] was playing beautifully around me and I was able to pick up. Sometimes you have to respect the bowlers and then catch up at the end. The way Rehan played meant I did not take risks early on. Without those cameos around you, you have to play high-risk cameos early on so that made my life easier. [On the competition helping local and other Associate nation players] Cricket's a funny game. Sanchit [Sharma] was the player of the match yesterday and today he came up against some top players and was put a bit on the back foot so he will learn from that. New competition, it's good to get off to a good start."

9.40pm So James Vince has guided his team to two back-to-back wins. He started slow in today's chase, but then picked up the tempo at the right time, supported ably by Gerhard Erasmus, as the two put on a 107-run partnership that ended with a rather unlucky run-out for Erasmus, who made 52 off 28. Vince stayed unbeaten on 83 to ensure they didn't slip up, even as a few wickets fell at the other end. The Giants had started steady and were rocked by a two-wicket over from Mujeeb Ur Rahman. But they came back strong in the last 10 overs, as they had with the ball. After being put in to bat, Dubai Capitals looked set for a 200-plus total, with Robin Uthappa hitting 79 off 46 and Rovman Powell scoring a quick 38. Raza also made 30 off 19, but the Giants bowled very well in the death and that proved crucial for them.
