8.40pm So that was a good first innings for the tournament! Abu Dhabi Knight Riders started well with the ball before Joe Root picked up the momentum for Dubai Capitals. Robin Uthappa held it together for them as Root and Rajapaksa fell in quick succession. Uthappa fell seven runs short of a half-century but then Rovman Powell smashed 48 off 29 to really provide impetus to the Capitals' innings. Raza, who scored 26 off 17, helped them finish strong, as did Ravi Bopara and Isuru Udana, who hit 12 off 4 and 11 off 3 respectively. Joe Root reckons it's a good total to defend, and feels Capitals now need to hold their lines longer. Should be an interesting chase. Join us shortly for the second innings.
