And that's all from us over here in Christchurch. See you tomorrow for more tri-nation series action. Till then, bye bye and thanks for joining us!
We'll have the presentation any moment. Let's hear from the captains too.
Glenn Phillips is the Player of the Match: "The way Devon batted was phenomenal. His partnership with Guptill set it up."
Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan: "When you score runs you feel better but having said that we played well the pitch was different than the other one. NZ put a good total and we were always behind in the game. If we scored 15-20 runs would've been better. Losing wickets cost us the game too. If you look at our last three games, we've been losing wickets consistently every few overs, and you don't get momentum. You are left forcing to build innings. We are not that far, we have a few areas we need to fix. We know what exactly the World Cup team is, we were just trying to give some guys a game to understand the best combination for the World Cup. We'll approach tomorrow to try and win the game. That's why it is an important game tomorrow."
Tim Southee: Put a score on the board, that was good. It was a solid batting performance. As a group, we are getting better and better, and we need to improve in some areas still. I think we may have been a bit sloppy in the field, but the bowlers set the tone. Still stuff to work on. We've had a few injuries, so need to see how the players scrub up before the Pakistan game. Want to play a competitive match before the T20 World Cup."
6.23pm The teams shake hands and Bangladesh are now confirmed as eliminated. Tomorrow, their game against Pakistan will be their final pre-World Cup match and will be playing for pride in search of one win in this tri-nation series.
As for New Zealand, this chase was going to be challenging always, and despite Shakib's 70, they fell well short. Shanto was slow, Das and Soumya played promising innings, but apart from that nothing much to write home. Adam Milne the pick of the NZ bowlers with a three-for. Southee got two with some smart bowling while 'golden arm' Bracewell continues to #MakeThingsHappen. Presentation coming up soon - guess it is a toss up between Phillips and Milne for the POTM award. Let's see who gets it.
Last ball of the over and the match. Another disappointing outing for Bangladesh barring a few individuals doing well
Daniel: "Southee now one wicket behind Shakib for the leading wicket-takers in T20Is." -- Spot on.
All a formality now.
