Another solid bowling performance from India. Same can't be said of Sri Lanka's batting, as they finish with just two more than they made in the first ODI. There was movement on offer early on and Renuka Singh, in particular, used it expertly. She ripped through Sri Lanka's top-three to rock the hosts early and took her fourth late in the innings to finish with her best figures in ODIs (4 for 28). Chamari Athapaththu briefly held fort before she was unluckily caught on the fine-leg boundary off a rather innocuous delivery on the pads from Meghna Singh. Anushka Sanjeevani was the other Sri Lanka batter to get a start but she departed after a casual bit of running as the keeper Yastika Bhatia was alert to the opportunity. Running between the wickets continued to be Sri Lanka's problem area as Kavisha Dilhari was also run-out in an attempt to pinch a single soon after. Thereafter, there was a small partnership for the seventh wicket, but Nilankshi de Silva couldn't capitalise on her start of 32, becoming Meghna Singh's second victim. The last three added 50 with Ama kanchana shepherding the tail. Kanchana was left unbeaten on 47 - her best ODI score - as the tail folded in the last over. We'll be back for the chase shortly.
