Naresh: "What would be a par score here today?" For thirty overs, it looked like 350. In the last 20, 308 seems par. Maybe Sudarshanan will have a say when he's back to start calling the second innings. Stay tuned.
Shubman Gill: It was a good wicket, it was a great experience overall. We are excited to play here in this beautiful stadium. We are happy with anything over 300. We have to bowl tight lines. It's a good wicket, the ball started to grip and hold a bit after 20-25 overs for the spinners. So they will have a big role to play.
Joydeepsinghgil: "308 is enough for win in this kinda pitch but after 30 overs west Indies bowlers did very effective bowling atleast they have saved 50-60 runs eventually"
DukhishyamSoren: "India's middle-order blues *sighs*"
1:20 pm: West Indies will be happy to have restricted India to 308 after 350 was a realistic possibility. Dhawan and Gill blazed away, Iyer started slow but managed to catch up. A flurry of wickets, the pitch slowing down, and the bowlers pulling back the lengths worked well for West Indies. The spinners getting into the wickets helped too. Gudakesh Motie managing to deceive Dhawan and Iyer was significant. Seales' thrifty overs in the early parts of the last ten, Shepherd pulled things back. Hooda and Axar could not get going for a while but managed to get the odd boundary and take India past 300.
Shepherd starts around the wicket
