The series is on the line, and Ekanth will bring you the run chase very soon.

Neil: "With the WI 173/0 with 15 overs left, I think New Zealand will be the happier of the two teams going into the break. It could have been so much worse."

Mayers after hitting 105 today: "I didn't get a chance to get in in the last two games. I just gave myself a chance to get in... Boult and Southee broke our backs in the last game. Not everyday you bat in the powerplay for 20 runs, but it worked for us today. Me and Shai have played 15-20 ODIs this summer... trying to keep each other cool. Very happy... First couple of games were disappointing. We always aim to score 300, we need to start well [with the ball]."

6.18pm Just to remind us all, Mayers hit 105 earlier in the day, something which Pooran's explosive 91 off 55 balls might have put into oblivion. On a day when Pooran seemed he could even achieve the unthinkable, he took his side to 301 despite the slip up from 173 for 0 to 191 for 4. Hope played the anchor at the top, while Joseph the aggressor at the bottom, and as a result, New Zealand have a big task at hand.

Southee to Joseph, SIX, six to end the innings, and to raise the 300! Joseph cracks 20* off six balls. Scrambled seam on a good length - close to the slot just outside off - as Joseph waited deep in the crease, before slightly opening the bat face to launch that over long-off

2
Southee to Joseph, 2 runs, dropped by Bracewell at deep midwicket! The crowd roars, while he fumes. Slower ball on a good length on middle and off, as Joseph flung at that to send it high for a long time

Seven away from 300... A six maybe? Long-on placed straighter than usual.

2
Southee to Joseph, 2 runs, lofted down the ground for a quick two. Slower ball on a near yorker length on middle, and Joseph chips it late
49.3
4
Southee to Joseph, FOUR, over short third after a wild swing! Off the outside edge, as he went slogging for the on side to this good length ball on off

Liam: "Looking at Mayers 105 as opener and Pooran's 91 at first drop, you'd expect a big partnership between the two, but instead their partnership was 0"

Southee to Cariah, 1 run, bowls on a good length and angles it into middle from wide of the crease. Clipped to deep square leg

Cariah in. Remember what he did two nights back?

Southee to Hosein, OUT, confident shout for leg before, and given! But with nothing to lose, Hosein reviews. Looked out on first glance, as he missed his slog to the on side. It was a good length ball outside off, and angling in, and there is no edge involved while he attempted to heave. The ball hit him above the back knee, and replays show umpire's call on clipping the top of the stumps

Anyone for 300?

6
Boult to Joseph, SIX, six first ball! He carries on from where he left off in the second ODI. Change of pace on a good length on middle, as he skipped down to reach the ball before scything down the ground

Joseph in at No. 9

Boult to Pooran, OUT, and he perishes searching for another six! Finds deep midwicket, which was the bigger side of the innings. A dominating knock comes to an end, as he tries to pull that shortish ball on middle and off, which seemed to have kept lower than he expected. It was a slower ball too, as he tried to pull from deep midwicket. A massive innings from the captain
