8.53pm So, that was compelling. The return of Australia's big guns was the talking point, but it's Marcus Stoinis's career-best three-for that takes the plaudits from their attack. Zampa returns with two key wickets too, but Dawid Malan's brilliantly paced recovery knock, allied to Moeen Ali's 44, has given England a fighting chance on a pitch that isn't as tricky as their top-order made it seem, but is far from a Perth flyer too. Alex will be here for the chase shortly. Simon: "Re Josh @17.6, can we please not compare Malan to Smith in T20I? One averages 40@140, one 25@125. In T20, that is a HUGE difference and disrespectful to the type of game Malan has. "Rafi: "Drop catches by Warner and Tim David is not acceptable. They should have on the boundary line running in for the catches. I think they just cost Australia the game. " Don't know about not acceptable, but they were untidy in the field tonight for sure and have been in all four T20Is in the last week.
