11.40am So Australia end on 364 all out in their first innings, an imposing first innings total at Galle in most scenarios. It was built on the back of centuries from Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith, the latter who remained unbeaten on 145 as he ran out of partners. When play started this morning, the visitors would have been eyeing somewhere in the region of 400 - and for a while it looked on - but then Alex Carey went for one sweep too many, top edging one, and from then on it was all Sri Lanka. Smith tried in vain to shield the strike, but that meant the scoreboard remained relatively stagnant. For Sri Lanka Prabath Jayasuriya was the pick of the bowlers, taking three more wickets this morning to end with debut figures of 6 for 118. A very good performance on a pitch that hasn't given him as much assistance as he would have liked. That said, Australia certainly have the bowlers to exploit whatever assistance is there on the surface. The Lankan reply should start in a bit.

Joey: "@Jim you might want to avoid Aussie fans for the foreseeable future "

Theekshana to Swepson, OUT, But he can't! Theekshana sends this on with the arm, pitching on off and goes past Swepson's forward defence to strike the front pad. There's an almost mandatory review from Australia, but this was plumb! Three reds and that's the end of the Australian innings. Smith stranded, unbeaten on 145.
