Sukrit: "Aussies just love making Silverwood's job miserable"

Qaaid: "What's most alarming about this is that this batting line up arguably consists of all the best T20 batsmen in SL, with the exception of the injured Kusal Perera. Even those who've gotten scores in these two matches, Nissanka, Asalanka and Mendis, haven't looked anywhere near their best"

And so Sri Lanka once more end their innings on a whimper. They didn't get off to the most ideal start, losing Gunathilaka and Nissanka early, however Mendis and Asalanka did well with a 66-run third wicket stand to consolidate and lay a platform. But when both fell within a couple of overs of each other, Sri Lanka were left with two new batters at the crease just as they would have been looking to accelerate. For Australia, it was just a matter of sticking to their plans and for the second game running it worked like a charm. Maxwell, Agar and the always excellent Hazlewood gave little to nothing away, and the pair of Jhye and Kane Richardson reaped the dividends at the other end picking up seven wickets between them. In the end, Australia are left with another straight forward chase, while the Lankan bowlers will be need a much improved performance from last night if they're to make this into even a modicum of a contest. Don't go too far, as Gnasher will take you through the start of the chase, which will start in just a bit.
