Join us for New Zealand's reply in 30 minutes' time, as Sudarshanan brings you the chase.

Mackay: "The block is firm, that is for sure! Great to be back out there. Legs are feeling a bit. Haven't played 50-over [cricket] since November. I have been bowling plenty in the nets. We didn't bowl that badly up top, but they had an aggressive mindset. 280 is a big chase. Boundaries are a little bit shorter today."

Sriram: "Thats a poor finish given the start, but a secent finish given the middle order collapse. Deepti should have played out the last over"

2.25pm After a start which threatened to shatter all records, India fold for 279 with the bat. Their opening partnership had touched a hundred in less than 14 overs, as Meghana cruised her way to 61 off 41 balls. But from 131 for 1, the visitors collapsed to 187 for 5, as New Zealand kept chipping away. Pretty much everyone took a wicket for the hosts, but credit to Deepti, who kept holding one end up to ensure her 69* set the opposition a good total to chase.

Mackay to Renuka Singh, OUT, taken at mid-off, and India don't last the entire 50 overs! Full ball on off, as she gets her front leg out of the way and slightly opens the bat face to try and loft that over mid-off, which was inside the circle. The fielder just had to take a few steps to her right, and she completed the catch with ease. Mackay gets a wicket with the ball after effecting identical run-outs, as India are restricted to 279

Satterthwaite to Bisht, OUT, heaved to long-on, and Amelia Kerr is again impressive in the field! She is standing rather deep, and has to run forward and dive to take this one. It was a tossed up ball, and full on middle and off. Bisht went for the swipe across the line, and mistimed that while sending that sailing toward long-on

Satterthwaite to Sharma, FOUR, Very good try by Mackay running toward fine leg. She runs and slides to try and pull the ball back right from the edge of the rope, and third umpire confirms after multiple replays that it isn't stopped cleanly in the end. Full ball on middle, and lapped off the glove by Deepti
