amit: "In all last three international test matches the first inning lead was in 40s. In India Vs NZ the lead was 49, Pak Vs BD the lead was 44 and now in this match its again 49... What a coincidence."
Mohamed Jafran: "Can see lot of Dilruwan Perera in Ramesh Mendis. Good find."
Supun Chamathka: "This lead of 49 should count and see as 149 considering the spin friendly surface at Galle." -- They will be batting fourth, though.
HMody: "Total 28 maiden overs. The earlier folks were saying WI are flawed. Agreed though take a note that this WI team is much in line as to how they should've been playing Test cricket in last two decades."
3.49pm That's the sixth wicket for Ramesh Mendis, and Sri Lanka have limited West Indies' lead to 49. Mendis looked like Sri Lanka's most dangerous bowler right from the time he came on today, getting more bite out of the pitch than his two spin-bowling colleagues, and he's bagged his best Test figures in the process. Dimuth Karunaratne had in-out fields for him right through, and that's worked out well, keeping his economy rate down to 2.03 despite his lengths not always being consistent.
