8.40pm Phew! What a dominant batting performance from India - they finish with a daunting 199 for 2. It started with Ishan Kishan hitting bowlers all around the ground. He and Rohit added 111 in 11.5 overs for the first wicket before Rohit fell to a slower ball. Iyer took some time to settle and Kishan too lost his timing for a bit and it started looking like Sri Lanka could pull it back somewhat. That turned out to be a false alarm. Kishan eventually fell for 89 off 56 but then Iyer took over and brought up his fifty off just 25 balls. Jadeja was promoted to No. 4, perhaps to maintain the left-right combination as one square boundary is a bit shorter than the other but he got to face only four balls, off which he scored three. There was a case for Venkatesh Iyer to be sent ahead of Jadeja but perhaps they wanted to give Jadeja a hit as well. We will be back with the chase in a bit, stay tuned.
