Mustafa Moudi: "Its a delight to have a Test, an ODI and a T20I All taking place at the same time in 3 different countries !!"

Udam: "Too much over confidence about spinners. this kind of a pitch when you have two fast bowlers effectively good at change ups and not bowling out them is a crime"

7.30pm South Africa will be very pleased with this total, I think. This has been a hard ground to chase on, historically, and the odd ball has already turned quite sharply today. South Africa are playing the extra spinner as well. An excellent performance from the top order, Malan, Hendricks and Klaasen in particular. Sri Lanka's bowlers mostly struggled. The three who ended up with economy rates below 6 were the fingerspinners and Chamika Karunaratne, who largely bowls fingerspun slower balls. A sign for the second innings?

Chameera to Linde, 2 runs, slower short ball, angling in towards off stump, pulled in the air, on the bounce, to the right of deep midwicket, and they pick up a quick two to end with 283

Last ball coming up. Chameera is around the wicket once more to Linde.

46.5
1
Chameera to Mulder, 1 run, full on off stump, whipped away to deep square leg
46.4
2
Chameera to Mulder, 2 runs, slower bouncer outside off, tennis-smashed in a controlled manner towards long-on. Didn't hit it hard, and that gave them the time to run two
46.3
1
Chameera to Linde, 1 run, back of a length on leg stump, punched down to long-on
46.2
2
Chameera to Linde, 2 runs, full-toss outside off, and he slices it up in the air, straight towards sweeper cover, and Chamika does well to prevent a boundary. Leans backwards over the rope, catches the ball, but flicks it back in quickly because he's about to overbalance and step beyond the boundary
46.2
1w
Chameera to Linde, 1 wide, looks for another wide yorker, ends up bowling it wider than he'd like, and Linde leaves it alone

Shouldn't Mulder have been on strike at the start of this over? The batters definitely didn't cross off the wicket ball. Or so it seemed.

46.1
4
Chameera to Linde, FOUR, full outside off, and it's well within reach of Linde. Not a wide yorker at all, either in terms of line or length, and he flat-bats it crisply over extra-cover to score his first runs in ODIs

Free-hit coming up.

1nb
Chameera to Linde, 1 no ball, wide yorker, and he slashes and misses, but Chameera has overstepped!

Coming in to bat with only 2-3 overs left is a thankless task, and this is a deceptive sort of pitch where the ball is gripping quite a bit. How will George Linde do? He's on debut in this format. Left-hander replaces left-hander. Chameera goes around the wicket.

Karunaratne to Phehlukwayo, OUT, got him, a terrific over from Chamika. Back-of-a-length slower ball on around leg stump. No room to pull this, and no pace either, and he ends up swiping hard and top-edging it loopily back to the bowler

AL Phehlukwayo c & b Karunaratne 4 (9m 4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

45.5
2
Karunaratne to Phehlukwayo, 2 runs, full on leg stump, clears his front leg and swipes it on the bounce, into the gap between deep square leg and deep midwicket

Chamika's bowled well to his field so far in this over.

45.4
1
Karunaratne to Mulder, 1 run, which means long-off is back, and he bowls a full slower ball, wide of off stump. Driven firmly but once again only for a single

Short third man and short fine leg are in the circle.

45.3
1
Karunaratne to Phehlukwayo, 1 run, slower ball, full and angling across to off stump. Flat-bats it hard, but too close to long-off to pick up more than a single
45.2
1
Karunaratne to Mulder, 1 run, full, fairly wide of off stump, driven down to long-off

Ahsan Butt: "Poor Malan, couldn't even score his average in ODIs!"

Wiaan Mulder is the new batter.

45.1
1
Karunaratne to Phehlukwayo, 1 run, short, slanting away and offering width, slapped to sweeper cover

Chamika, over the wicket to Phehlukwayo.

Chameera to Malan, OUT, big appeal for lbw, and Chameera's got two in two. Looks to reverse-paddle past short third man, and he misses a full ball angling into the stumps. He's reviewed, though. Struck in front of middle stump or thereabouts, so it was more a what-if review than out of any belief that he might have a chance of surviving. Crashing into middle stump according to Hawkeye. But what an innings this has been. Slowed down a bit, struggled with cramps, but he had the will and skill to be able to find the boundary when South Africa needed it
