4.03pm Abbas has the ball. Three slips, a gully, and short leg catching.
Obaid: "Don't even remember the last time pak took a bold decision like this , I'm loving this approach. Sometimes you've to take your chances to get a victory.. "
Awais Amin: "I would always take a loss with this approach than a draw with a defensive approach. Good declaration by Pakistan, giving the maximum time to bowlers."
Ashish: "I will say that this is a very sporting declaration by Pakistan. 329 in 4th innings is going to be a hell of a chase. And the WTC has made sure that teams actually go for a win when they see the conditions favorable to them. Pak already bowled out WI for 150 in the first innings. And they will have the belief to do so again. And WI will try to put all their effort to either pull out a difficult chase or hang on to a draw."
Mallick: "Interesting declaration, seemed like the pitch had eased off with of all teams Pakistan going at 6 run rate in a TEST!!!"
Arun: "My money is on Pakistan to win this but WI are known to pull out a few rabbits from the hat recently. Anyways it's going to be exciting to watch "
Khalid Saif: "" Good declaration keeping in mind try to win this match and level the series. Positive cricket from Pakistan"
Ali: "A bit if bold declaration was expecting somewhere around 360.. can backfire too"
Ashraf : "Well Pakistan have given themselves a fantastic chance to level the series. WI have a very difficult task in hand lets see how their approach will be. "
3:51pm So West Indies need 329 to win the series 2-0, or bat a possible 130 overs (light and over-rates permitting) to take the series 1-0. Pakistan will have only one thing in mind and that is to take a few wickets by stumps today and wrap the hosts up to draw this series. It is a seemingly premature declaration - perhaps the target was always to get about 330 on the board, rather than timing themselves? They've got there pretty quickly, whatever it was. It's an hour of scheduled play left, with a possibility of a 30-minute extension. They're really dangling the carrot here for West Indies, the asking rate won't be too high. But perhaps tomorrow's forecast may also be on Pakistan's mind. Whatever it is, West Indies have to bat out of their skins against a charged up bowling attack to avoid a loss here.
