5.44 pm: An emotional Krunal Pandya dedicates this knock to his dad, who recently passed away. He's a bit too overcome to speak to the broadcasters. His dad would have been proud of this innings today. After coming off the field, Hardik enveloped Krunal in a bear-hug. The Pandya brothers' father passed away in January, and Krunal had to leave Baroda's team bubble during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy to attend to the last rites.
5.42 pm: India have surged to 317 for 5 on the back of that last partnership. Rahul and Krunal added 112 in 9.3 overs. Krunal's entry completely revitalised India's innings, and as he raised the fastest-ever ODI half-century from a debutant, Rahul too found his groove. The first half of the innings had been helmed well by Shikhar Dhawan. And Virat Kohli looked in total control while he was there, but his wicket induced a mini collapse. India looked like they would get much less than what was promised when Kohli and Dhawan were batting. Then they ended up getting there thanks to Krunal and Rahul.
Ankit Kalra : "KL feeling the heat after few failures shows the kind of competition sitting on the doors waiting to latch any available opportunity. Tough selection headaches for India ahead"
