END OF OVER:128 | 2 Runs 1 Wkt | ENG: 391/10
- Joe Root180 (321b)
- Mohammed Shami26-3-95-2
- Mohammed Siraj30-7-94-4
Siraj catches up with Root to shake his hand. The whole crowd applauds him as he walks off. India have pulled things back nicely, though, with five wickets for just 77 runs in this session. England had the opportunity to bat India out of this Test, but they have failed to do so as India, held by Ishant and Siraj, forced their way back in.
Still, thanks to another huge effort from Root, England have taken a lead of 27 runs. With two days to go for a second-innings shootout, you'd imagine the only way England lose from here is if India get bowled out and then bowl England out. There is no way India will be making a sporting declaration here. Stranger things have happened, though.
We are looking at another grandstand finish to a Test then. The weather is supposed to behave itself this time. See you tomorrow.
JM Anderson b Mohammed Shami 0 (30m 16b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
Can India get Anderson in these two balls or will Root continue batting tomorrow too?
Bumrah out of the attack. India go back to Shami for the last over of the day. Bumrah has bowled 13 no-balls, the highest in an innings for India since Zaheer Khan bowled 13 in Guyana in 2002

Siraj has two balls for Anderson. Root happy to keep him away from Anderson, but mind you, Siraj has a mean bouncer himself. Goes round the wicket, a man under the helmet at short leg
