5:21pm A stupendous batting effort by the Falcons, who, remember, came into this must-win game at the bottom of the points table. Fletcher set it all up at the start and was supported well by Haris, who took up the mantle post Chandimal's dismissal. Hasaranga then promoted himself and kept the momentum going before Mathews and Mendis ripped Dambulla apart in the last five overs, scoring 79, including 26 off the final over.

Not much to write home about from a bowling POV for Dambulla. Hemantha was comfortably the pick of the bunch and when he was bowling, it felt a wicket could fall any time. When the others were bowling, well, it felt the Falcons would find a boundary from anywhere and everywhere, just because they were so inaccurate and did not bowl to their plans.

That sums up the Sixers' plight and they now have to pull off a record run-chase to knock the Falcons out today. Join us in a bit for the run-chase!
