And with that it's a wrap from us. Join us again tomorrow as the LPL crowns a new champion! This is Madushka signing out.
Dasun Shanaka: "Apart from Wanindu's innings they struggled, so it would have been interesting if we stopped them at 130. [Why couldn't you stop them?] I think it was down to experience as well. I used Dinusha in that 18th over, he went for death bowling straight away but I think the idea should be to bowl into the pitch which we had discussed. But it's all part of the learning, it's not always about winning. We need to promote the youngsters as well. [Should you have batted a little higher?] In this tournament I could have batted in the top 4, but in the need of the team I went down in the batting order.
Player of the Match and Striker of the Match award goes to Wanindu Hasaranga: "Maybe Nuwan Pradeep will be fit, but we already miss Isuru Udana and Dushmantha Chameera. [Will we see you tomorrow?] Of course I can play tomorrow as well. [Is that confidence or are you actually fit?] It's come from confidence and I'm hopefully fit to play. I know what I can do with the bat, I always try to do my best. I'm having fun in the middle."
11:15pm Time now for the post-match presentation
Beastmaster: "How many Wanindus does it take to bowl Galle out? 4. One to push the wheelchair, one to bowl, one to help him out and one to celebrate "
Kandy so live to fight another day, but major questions remain surrounding their team selection. They lost both Nuwan Pradeep and Isuru Udana before this match, and now their star player, their skipper, is seriously handicapped. Will he play the final? And if he doesn't how will that impact the balance of the side? Whatever ends up happening, Dambulla will certainly fancy their chances.
11.05pm So Kandy have weathered an injury to their talismanic skipper and recorded a comprehensive win against Galle. Galle had their moments in this game, and when Wanindu Hasaranga pulled up with what looks like a hamstring injury they might have even entertained thoughts of victory. But Hasaranga, on one leg, played a belligerent innings to set the tone and then a series of cameos pushed the total to a competitive level. Then with the ball the Kandy spinners shackled the Galle batters, while Wanindu himself bowled out his four overs.
