Much of the damage was done in the first over itself when both Avishka Fernando and Kusal Mendis were dismissed - self-inflicted dismissals at that - and from that point on Dambulla were playing catch up. Kusal Perera and Sadeera Samarawickrama tried to patch up the innings with a 51-run stand, but Jaffna broke through and then just kept picking up wickets along the way.
