Kalz: "Nuwanidu !! What a talent....."

Wow! What a difference a couple of overs can make. Dambulla had done everything right in keeping this chase down to a gettable total. But some lax bowling in the last two overs - specifically the final over - has shifted the momentum completely. Galle only ended up on 129 for 8, but Dambulla need to get this in something like 11 overs if they're to overturn their abysmal net run rate and qualify over Galle. This was an innings of 18 and 2. 18 overs where Dambulla had Galle all at sea, but Nuwanidu hung around, and when it mattered he exploded. In the last two overs, Galle plundered 40 runs! 25 of which came of Nuwanidu's bat in the final over. He would end up unbeaten on a 42-ball 63. Join us in a bit for what's sure to be a fascinating chase.
