END OF OVER:
20 | 20 Runs | SA: 191/3 | RR: 9.55

  • Rassie van der Dussen74 (32b)
  • Faf du Plessis52 (37b)
  • Chris Jordan4-0-42-1
  • Sam Curran3-0-35-0

7.40pm: Well, that was fun. All went a bit Pete Tong for England at the end, as South Africa recovered from 66 for 3 at halfway to get up to 191, as Rassie van der Dussen and Faf du Plessis hit their straps (and pretty much anything else that moved). Both made unbeaten fifties, RvD² a career-best 74 from 32, and it's given SA an excellent chance of claiming a consolation win here. A sizzling tally of 84 runs is the most England have ever conceded in the last five overs of a T20I. "England landed a grand total of two yorkers according to our ball-by-ball data," reports Matt Roller, "and bowled 20 'full' balls which went for 57." No team has made 190 batting second at Newlands, and even though batting looked easy during that last period, England's line-up will have to pull this out of the fire if they're to claim the series 3-0. Miller will be back for the fireworks shortly

Jordan to van der Dussen, 2 runs, short ball, swung away to leg, Sam Curran takes the catch but then throws it away on the boundary! Not sure he was actually going to touch the rope, and there wasn't enough on it for Archer to complete the relay catch. Just a couple to finish, but SA have been brutal at the death here!

England have leaked 86 from their last 30 balls!

Corniel Seddon: "I am hoping Stokes's injury isn't anything that rules him out of the ODIs. One always wants the best players playing!" He's just mooched back down the steps with a bandaged hand, so looks like he'll be okay

1w
SM Curran to van der Dussen, 1 wide, sprayed full and wide, but too wide as Rassie looked to pounce
