0.6 gone, Siraj strikes in the first over, and Warner is gone playing an uncertain shot. Beautiful length and line, slanting across and ending up tight on off stump. I don't know if it's seamed away, or if it's just kept going with the angle with the batsman playing for swing into him. Warner has a feel for it without really getting a stride to the ball, and second slip dives in front of first to take an outstanding low catch. A little bit of away seam, and Rohit has taken a blinder, diving to his right 4/1
8.1 and he strikes first ball! His 11th ball in Test cricket. Unusual dismissal, Harris flicks one off his legs, in the air, and straight to the man at square leg, stationed just in front of square. We'll have to watch that again to see if the ball did anything unusual, or if he just played a loose shot. Just seemed like an airy flick of fa pretty full ball that was swinging marginally into him. May have wanted to play that further in front of square? 17/2
65.5 the Natarajan short ball strikes again! He nailed a pull earlier this over off a not particularly short ball, and a similar response to a similar delivery ends up as a top edge on this occasion. Goes high in the air behind the wicket, and Pant jogs a few yards to his left to pouch it. The ball was only around waist-high, and Labuschagne ended up over-adjusting and hitting from down to up 213/5
34.1 and he gets Smith immediately! What a moment! What a player to get for your first wicket in Tests! It's the leg trap coming into effect again. Not the most dangerous-looking delivery, full and almost fired into the pads, but Smith flicks uppishly, and straight to the fielder at short midwicket. He's utterly cross with himself as he walks back to his dressing room 87/3
63.4 gone, and Wade gives it away with an aggressive shot yet again. First wicket for Natarajan, and India desperately needed it. Wasn't short enough to pull, maybe, and the ball hurried onto Wade and cramped him for room. Ends up scooping it up rather than hitting it with a flat bat-swing, and the ball goes high, behind the bowler, where both mid-on and mid-off converge towards the ball. Mid-on manages to catch it just as the two fielders' paths cross, with the collision somehow averted. Shaw was the fielder at mid-off, and he just about stepped out of the way as Thakur got under the ball. Natarajan also seemed to be going towards the ball for a moment. 200/4
100.5 plays the wrong line and is cleaned up! Green expected this length ball to turn into his stance down the leg side, but it's held its line slightly as he gets an angled bat down, trying to pat this towards mid-on. It's past his outside edge and hits middle and leg 313/7
99.2 edged, taken at second slip! So it's fifty and out for Paine. Thakur rewarded. Full outside off, it's a big drive, the outside edge flies at chest height to Rohit who takes it nicely 311/6
101.4 that looks plumb as anything. Cummins reviews though, has he got bat on that? He's been struck on the full, above the boot flap, right in front of middle stump. He was looking to flick and was through it far too soon...and that is hitting leg stump. This is now officially a collapse for Australia, and a review goes alongside Cummins 315/8

108.2 bowled him. Full and at middle and leg. He's shuffled once again to try and sweep, but this one is pushed deliberately fuller to beat the under-edge. Splits the stumps and that is Lyon's cameo done 354/9
115.2 knocks out off stump with a full one! Simple as that. Driving length and straight on at an off stump line. Hazlewood has got his feet down leg side and is driving with a massive gap between bat and legs. Beaten on the inside edge 369/10

19.5 holes out to long-on! It's that dip from Nathan Lyon again, luring a batsman out of the crease and then beating him in flight. What a bowler. It's at a middle and leg stump line. Rohit steps out and is soon realising he won't get to the pitch of this. Reaches well in front of his body and sticks with the lofted shot on his mind, but all he can do is lob it up for the fielder running in and to his right. Pretty ordinary after he'd started to look good 60/2
6.2 edged, taken at slip! Cummins makes his mark straightaway. In that awkward length outside off, uncertain whether to play or leave, takes a thick edge and Smith snaffles it at second. What a bowler he is. 11/1
38.5 edged, gone! Hazlewood does it. That's a cracker, in the channel at off stump, the ball that has done for Pujara a few times this series. Angles in at off stump then straightens a fraction. Not much he could have done. Huge moment 105/3
54.6 gone, this was coming. Rahane got away with a couple of these in the first session, but now he doesn't. Not full enough to drive, slanting into a wide line outside off, and he goes hard at it, well away from his body, and gets a thick edge once again. This time, though, Starc has a fourth slip in place, and he catches it at just above chest height. Not the wisest of shots from Rahane especially with the slips cordon strengthened 144/4
60.2 edged, taken at the second attempt! That was a very poor shot. A wild, booming drive, hadn't given himself a chance to get in again. Wasn't full enough for the drive, was actually a short-of-a-length delivery outside off, he threw his hands at it. The catch went quickly above head height to Smith. It didn't go in cleanly, but he held the rebound 161/5
66.3 taken, super catch! Green in the gully. Short outside off, Pant leans back and tries to send this over the slips. It went very quickly but Green adds another good grab to his list 186/6
108.5 gone, another excellent catch from Green at gully. Good ball from Starc, short and angling sharply into Washington. Got caught in two minds, between swaying away and trying to ramp it over gully, ended up doing the latter without a whole lot of conviction, and Green dives to his left to complete the catch. Superb innings on debut, he's brought the deficit down to 41. He's just 21, and there's so much time for him to expand on his sound batting and bowling fundamentals 328/9

102.3 the breakthrough! Cummins gets it. Superbly bowled, good length just outside off stump, this nips back significantly and beats the big drive to end a fantastic innings and partnership. Terrific delivery, actually. 309/7
107.4 gone, Hazlewood's got his man. Again that short, rising ball that isn't quite a bouncer. No option of ducking or swaying here, the ball kept following him even as he tried to stay leg-side of the ball, and climbed towards the shoulder of his bat to find the edge to second slip 320/8
111.4 bowled him. Hazlewood gets his five-for. Full, at the base of leg stump, and Siraj backs away, has a big slog at it, and misses 336/10

24.6 gloved behind! Short ball makes the breakthrough. Well directed over middle and leg, Harris tries to sway underneath but leaves his gloves up by his helmet and the ball brushes them through to Pant 89/1
25.6 Warner's been given lbw, trapped deep in the crease! Begins to walk off, then turns around and sneaks in a review. He's shaking his head so he isn't convinced he's safe here. But it might be worth the review. Sundar's got the arm ball to slide on from off and hit Warner's back thigh in front of off stump. He was shaping for the cut, for the one that turns. That's three reds on DRS. It's hitting off and middle and suddenly, the momentum's turned. What a series this is. The lovely little counterpunch from Warner ends. It's Thakur and Sundar bringing India back in again 91/2
30.3 taken at second slip this time! Siraj gets some extra bounce from a length and pins Marnus in the crease. He looks to defend this ball in the corridor, it gets big on him and straightens a touch. Straight into Rohit's pouch 123/3
54.2 this leaps, and is fended to gully! Hang on a moment, Smith thinks this may have hit the glove when it was off the bat handle and has called the review. It leapt off the pitch from back of a length...and, nope, the glove was certainly on the handle at point of impact. He could nothing about that, really, and it looped to Rahane. Australia's quicks won't mind seeing that 196/5
30.6 Wade's walking! Caught down leg side. A full ball on the pads. Looks to flick that away and seems to have found the inside edge. Pant lunges to his right to hold on. Not even the thought of a review there, Wade is straight off 123/4
60.5 another catch for Rohit. Must be his fourth of the match. (Edit:fifth) Short of a length and rising in the corridor. Green has a stab at that and gets a healthy edge that carries to second slip at hip height. That's the last of Green's batting in this series, and perhaps one of his hardest knocks too. It's been a good display at international level so far, but got stuck today 227/6
64.6 given out caught behind. Short ball climbing steeply outside off. Paine brings out the pull but that's caught the top edge and Pant has done well to leap and hold on to this one 242/7

72.1 flayed to cover...short of a length outside off, Lyon tries to drive off the back foot and can't keep it down 274/9
75.5 taken at third man...Siraj has his five! Short of a length, Hazlewood went for the ramp and sent it straight to the field. Thakur, who also had four wickets to his name, helps his fellow fast bowler complete the haul 294/10

8.2 edged, gone! It's Cummins, as it is so often. In the channel just outside off, brings him forward, it's a healthy outside edge, Paine takes a good diving catch in front of first slip. Rohit may consider he could have left that 18/1
47.6 he's done it! Gill goes for 91. That's lovely bowling from Lyon. A wider line outside off, draws a drive from Gill away from his body, takes the edge and a neat catch at slip by Smith. Superb innings, but is that the moment for Australia? 132/2

80.2 given lbw! Cummins strikes second ball. Pujara has called for the review. A back of a length delivery which nipped back, beat the inside edge and took the back leg. Height the only issue. And it's umpire's call on trimming the bails 228/4
56.5 gone, the big man has taken the big wicket. Every time Cummins comes into the attack, you expect something to happen. Short ball, and it follows Rahane as he looks to sway out of the way. Caught in two minds, between leaving and ramping it over the slips, and he ends up caught behind with the ball grazing the face of his bat. He was looking to play his shots, and the risks were always apparent. Similar dismissal to the one at Ranchi against the same bowler back in 2017 167/3

86.4 gone, caught at short cover, Agarwal is dismissed in the pursuit of quick runs. That wasn't quite up there for the drive, but Agarwal went hard at it, possibly looking to clear the fielder at short cover. Maybe the ball stopped on him, maybe he just didn't time it how he wanted to, but in any case, Matthew Wade times his jump well and takes it over his head 265/5
95.5 bowled him, you might ask if he needed to play that shot. Not much of a reaction from the Australia players, though, because India only need 10. He's played well, and he misjudges the line, possibly, while trying to reverse-sweep this. A little too close for him, and perhaps there's a bottom edge too, onto the stumps 318/6
96.4 now Thakur lobs one straight in the air. This one falls into square leg's hands, though. India still need 3, and they have three wickets left. Back of a length, angling into off stump, and Thakur looks to work it across the line, only manages a leading edge 325/7
