These were the goals for both teams before the series started. Which team has ticked more boxes with the ODIs nearly over?
6.15pm Quite an allround performance from Sri Lanka. Third highest total at this ground. A 60-run stand from the openers set the base. Karunaratne and Perera got 44 each. Mendis and Dhananjaya got fifties. In all, four batsmen motored along at a strike-rate of 100+. Three fifty-plus stands helped too. We'll be back in around 30 minutes for the chase. While we wait, why not check out our latest edition of Ask Steven
Dhananjaya: "Happy because I got a fifty after long time. Think I'm batting well from the Pakistan Test series. Good score on a slow wicket. Hasaranga is in good form, Sandakan too. If we bowl well in the Powerplay, we can defend it."
I Udana c Pollard b Holder 2 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50.00
Pradeep will be at the non striker's end. Udana on strike
PADLR Sandakan run out 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
PW Hasaranga b Holder 16 (9b 1x4 1x6) SR: 177.77
Lakwin: "@MathewA - actually Dilshan and Mathews have been more prolific at No 6 for SL in ODIs than Arnold. However completely agree with you - Dhananjaya fits the role ideally - more a classical ODI bat - who can be the aggressor when required as well. Also I feel DShanaka is competing for No 7, not 6, as he is quite a handy bowler as well."
Three good overs on the trot from West Indies. Can they finish the innings well? Looks like Holder will bowl out. He's gone for more than six per over tonight
